Frequently Asked Questions
You have the right to delete all data Giro stores about you at any time. Here's how:
- Open Giro and go to the Settings tab.
- Tap Delete My Data (shown in red).
- Confirm the action. This will permanently delete all data associated with your account from our servers and sign you out.
Giro stores very little. On our servers we keep:
- An anonymized identifier — a one-way hash of your Discogs username. We cannot reverse this to recover your username.
- Your AI message usage count — how many assistant messages you've used in the current month.
We never store your Discogs password, OAuth tokens, collection contents, or any other personal information.
Yes — but only with your permission. Giro uses the standard Discogs OAuth flow, which means you authorize the app directly through Discogs. Giro can read your collection and wantlist. It cannot make purchases or modify your Discogs account settings.
No. Giro does not store your conversation history on our servers. Each session starts fresh. Messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses and are subject to Anthropic's own privacy policy.
You can revoke access at any time from your Discogs account settings:
- Go to discogs.com/settings/applications.
- Find Giro in the list of authorized applications.
- Click Remove to revoke access.
You can reach us through the Settings screen inside the app. We take privacy seriously and will respond to all requests within a reasonable timeframe.
